Here is a Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale called The Red Shoes. The characters are lined up to tell the story first you see the poor girl then the cobbler who makes the red shoes, then the rich man who adopts the poor girl and next is the poor girl cleaned up and dressed in new clothes next the her is the rich lady who adopts the poor girl beside her is the executioner who chops off her legs to stop her feet from dancing and gives her wooden feet and last is the poor girl grown up with her wooden feet and crutch it is a fairly gruesome tale hope you enjoy.
