Water Nixie Character Designs

Here are some character designs that I did for a fairytale called Water Nixie, I wanted to use one of the lesser known fairytales. Its about a sister and brother who fall down a well and a Nixie catches them and to escape the girl threw a brush which became a mountain with thousands of spikes the boy threw a comb behind them which became a mountain with thousands of teeth by the time the Nixie gets through the mountains the children get away. The Nixie is a water spirit from Viking mythology so I tried to make them look Norwegian. I thought I would post the scribbles for the characters, I hope you like them.

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde Character Designs

Hi, here are the Character Designs of the Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde. First is Mr Poole, he is Dr. Jekyll’s butler. I wanted him to look snobby and stern like he runs Dr. Jekyll’s house like a drill sergeant. Like he was from an order of butlers and its not just a job for him. Next is Utterson, a lawyer and friend to Dr Jekyll. He is trustworthy and calculating. Next from Scotland Yard is Inspector Newcommen. He starts investigating Dr. Jekyll after Sir Danvers Carew’s death. I made him all the one colour because his whole life is about the thin blue line. To his right is Mr Hyde. I tried to make him look disgusting looking and a bit crazy and mindless. Next is Dr Jekyll, he is holding the potion that changes his life. I tried to make him look the opposite to Mr Hyde, I tried to make him look like a nice guy and a bit of a push over. Next to him is Sir Danvers Carew. A kind old man and important member of parliament, Sir Danvers is the father of Dr Jekyll's fiancee and Mr Hyde tramples him to death. Last is Richard Enfield, he is a lawyer and Mr Utterson’s friend he is the one who reveals that Mr Hyde is Dr Jekyll’s heir. I wanted to make him blue so he looks like he is affected by living in foggy London. Well, I hope you like them.

Little Shop of Horrors Character Designs

Here is some Little Shop of Horrors character designs I have done I tried to get a likeness to the characters in the film and still make them look like they could be in an animated cartoon . First on the left is Mr. Mushnik's who owns the flower shop that Seymour Krelborn works in next is Seymour Krelborn who raises Audrey II the flower which he is holding as a baby next is Audrey II grown up and looking for more people to eat next is Audrey the object of Seymour’s affection next to her is Audrey’s boyfriend Orin Scrivello who is a dentist. They were interesting to draw I hope you like them.

Sherlock Holmes Character Designs

Here are some Sherlock Holmes character designs I did. First is Doctor Watson next is Holmes himself and then is Moriarty. Hope you like them.

Frog Princess Character Designs

Here are some character designs I did for the Frog Princess first is the king next to him is the prince who turns into the frog next to him is the princess who is holding the frog on a lily pad and next to her is the wicked fairy who turns the prince into a frog. Hope you like it.

Children of Lir Character Designs

Here are the Children of Lir character designs I have done they took a bit longer to do than normal but there where a few more characters to do this time.
Children of Lir is an Irish story. Lir’s wife Aoibh dies but because she is immortal so she will only be away for a while she worries about the children and they miss her a lot so Bodb Dearg who wants to become the leader of the Tuatha Dé Dannan which where Irish fairies sends Lir his second daughter to marry she become jealous of the children’s love for there mother and turns them into swans Lir is disgusted by this and searches for the children but can’t find them, they are cursed to spend three hundred years on three separate islands the curse is broken by a druid after nine hundred years and then the children reappear but they are really old and decrepit.
In the first image there is Aoibh she is the children’s mother then next is Lir who is a sea god so I gave him some scales and gills then there is Bodb Dearg, Dearg which in Gaeilge is The Red. Next is Aoife she is Bodb Dearg’s second daughter I wanted to make her sneaky and a bit of a schemer and last is Druid Quimlan when he rings the bell the curse on the children is broken I wanted to make him look like Lir had sent him to break the spell so I gave him blue hair and put a wave motif around the sleeves of his top.
The next image is Lir’s children when they are young, first is Aodh he is the eldest and wants to be a warrior next are the twins Conn and Fiachra they want to be hurling stars (which is an Irish sport) next is Fionnuala who wants to be an alchemist.
The third image is when the children are turned into swans I wanted to use there hair styles and there colours to distinguish them from each other.
The Fourth image the children as old people I wanted the two eldest children to look a lot older then the twins. Hope you like it.

Jack and The Nanobot Beanstalk

Here are some character designs I did of Jack and the Nanobot Beanstalk. I set the story in the future and the beanstalk is created by nano technology, Jack brings the Milk a Tron 4000 down to the market and he trades it for the Nanobot Beanstalk which Jack’s mother is not too pleased about. The first image is Jack’s mother next to her is the Milk a Tron 4000 then it’s the chicken that lays the golden eggs then it’s the harp who conducts himself and then it’s Jack as he is very lazy and doesn’t want to walk anywhere he has wheels on his shoes and a rocket pack on his back, he is holding the orb with the nano technology which becomes the beanstalk. I wanted Jack to look like he is not the sharpest tool in the box. The next image is of the giant and his wife who doesn’t want him to eat Jack. It was fun to draw the giants. Hope you like it.
